Peter Linden, MD, is currently a Professor of Critical Care Medicine and Medical Director of the Abdominal Organ Transplant Intensive Care Unit at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania.

He is trained and is board certified in internal medicine, infectious diseases, and critical care medicine. Dr Linden has published over 80 peer-reviewed journal articles, 130 scientific abstracts, 30 book chapters, and has been on multiple journal editorial boards, society sponsored guidelines committees, and section editors of multiple textbooks. His research has focused on the epidemiology, management, and outcome of nosocomial multidrug resistant pathogens, opportunistic infection in solid organ recipients and management of acute, and chronic liver failure. He has been funded by federal, society, and private funding.
